Healthy Vending Machine Franchises

Healthy vending is gaining momentum and our clients are recognizing the value of this opportunity. Because vending machines don’t require a lot of attention, it an extremely appealing, money-generating, passively-run business.

Ask me, I know. After my second child was born, almost 11 years ago, I stayed home with our then two and five year olds but didn’t want to lose my income from working a full-time job. Scouring the newspaper for passively-run businesses, I stumbled across an ad and purchased 10 bulk vending machines. Being a novice in the industry, I thought 10 machines were going to make me a fortune. I realized I was wrong.

By the end of the year, I purchased and serviced over 100 machines. I remember having so much coin to deposit, that I had to take a dolly to bring all the money into the bank. By year three, I acquired over 250 machines, still taking my kids with me to every location. And at the end of that year, I sold the business and doubled my investment and became an expert at locating vending machines. I even wrote an e-book, How to Locate Bulk Vending Machines, which sold around the world. Talk about serendipity.

I like the convenience of vending and the income potential the opportunity provides. Consider some of the perks of this business:

  • Consumers are requesting healthy choices.
  • More pressure is being placed on employers and school officials to stop obesity and offer healthier selections. That is one reason for the growth for healthy vending.

  • Vending is an impulse buy.
  • Most employees have limited time to go out to lunch and find it more convenient to purchase a healthy selection from a vending machine.

  • Vending offers convenience.
  • You simply swipe your credit or debit card, making the purchase easy.

  • Vending can be passively-run.
  • You don’t have to give up your full-time job to get started in your own business and it can be very profitable. The business doesn’t need a vacation and is open year-round.

  • Vending is a reasonably-priced investment.
  • You can start a healthy vending business for under $25K.

  • Vending offers a simple business model.
  • The business doesn’t require a lot of training and you can begin in less than a couple weeks.

  • Vending offers tax advantages.
  • Once you start this business, you can write off a variety of expenses, which will decrease your taxable income.

  • The business is scalable.
  • You can get started without hiring any employees. This is appealing to most people because you can work the business and still remain in your full-time job.
