Leveraging Your Past to Find a Business

As you look for the right franchise business to invest in, you should first reflect on your past jobs and experiences to help you determine what type of business that would be a good fit for you.

Consider your previous jobs. Can you take what you’ve learned and apply that to a business? If you’ve had job assignments that are customer service focused, you may want to consider a business in which you work directly with your customer.

If you have a strong organizational skill background, either from corporate or military experience, you may want to think about businesses that allow for growth and expansion that will afford you to be able to manage many moving parts.

My experiences have helped me in my position as a franchise consultant. By learning processes as a packaging engineer and being creative as a structural designer, I now can apply both skills by helping our clients down a defined process in buying a franchise, while creatively solving problems along the way.

I encourage you to look into your toolbox of experiences. By doing this, you’ll be able to leverage, like a crow bar, your past jobs into the success of your future business.
